Saturday saw 15 metres viz at the ship dropping to 10 metres in the afternoon with the big out going tide the most likely culprit for the drop in viz.
All the usual ‘large’ marine life is still to be seen on the BRISBANE with more and more small hard corals joining the already established soft corals and sponges taking up residence on the ship.

It is a bit sad to see a big yellow tailed kingfish swimming around over the BRISBANE with a large metal lure hanging out of its mouth.  It will tire the fish out to a point that it will either die a slow death or become ‘lunch’ for something bigger. I wonder what, if anything, is being done by the E.P.A.to police the conservation park and rid it of the illegal fishing that seems to be happening on a regular basis.
