Dive HMAS Brisbane Dive Report 7th April - 14th April 2010

Easter looked promising a week or more ago but as it drew closer the predictions for the Easter break drew grimmer.
Latest Coast Weather Forecast

The strong winds and swell came in earlier than predicted and put a hold on many expectant divers' plans. Most diving activity was cancelled due to the poor weather conditions however the good news is; IT'S ALL GONE now and we have perfect weather.

The swell is virtually nonexistent and there's barely a breeze blowing. This pattern looks like it will hold for the rest of the week and into the weekend. So if you are a diver who's been waiting for the conditions to settle, the news is, they have and they don't get much better than what you will see over the next few days for a dive on HMAS Brisbane or other Sunshine Coast dive sites.

The marine life on the HMAS BRISBANE wreck is going off. There is just so much activity there with something for every diver from Frog fish to "Barnacle Bill" the huge Kingie that has 3 barnacles over his left eye. Matt was able to swim right up close to him to almost touch him, on his blind side.

LADY MUSGRAVE TRIP; for the diver looking for a dive packed weekend on the Great Barrier Reef, don't forget that there is still room available on our trip aboard MV Venus in early May.
