Dive HMAS Brisbane Report 9th March - 16th March 2010

Dive HMAS Brisbane Dive Report 9th March - 16th March 2010

We need to take heed of weather forecasts but unfortunately they don't always work out as predicted. i.e. last weekend. Latest Coast Weather Forecast

The forecast for Saturday was encouraging however it turned out rather nasty. We planned to head out, managed one dive on the HMAS BRISBANE with 12 metres viz but had to call it a day. It was not comfortable at all and on the edge as far as safety was concerned. The prediction for Sunday was worse than the one for Saturday so, after the situation on Saturday, we erred on the side of safety and canned our trip on Sunday only to awake and notice the drop in the ocean and wind..........

Conditions are improving and today we managed to get a double dive on the HMAS BRISBANE and ended up with 10 metres viz once you descended through 4-5 metres of soup. There was heaps of marine life out and about and divers came back very happy after a couple of great dives. Water temp. is still on 26C.

Tuesday and Wednesday look like being great days to be out on the water with a "wait and see" for Thursday and maybe a no no for the weekend. It is early in the week though and the opposite has happened before so we won't call it yet, we'll wait and see.
