Dive HMAS Brisbane Dive Report 22nd December - 29th December 2009

Light winds prevail and look like staying with us for a few days yet. There's been some clear water but we've also had a cold thermocline come through to some of the dive sites which has brought some cold dity water.
Latest Coast Weather Forecast

While at the HMAS BRISBANE we had 12-15 metre visibility for the first 10-14 metres, once you went below that depth it was a lot colder and dirtier than expected. That's the beauty of having this mighty ship here to dive on. Although the water was dirtier and colder the deeper you went, if you chose to stay shallow, then the dive was a gem.

In spite of the situation there, when divers headed in closer to sites like the Caves, the conditions were more consistent. Divers experienced warmer water and viz up to 10 metres there on the weekend.

Stable conditions look like holding for the weekend and the blue water that is with us near the surface will continue to push its way through the whole water column giving us clearer and warmer water by the weekend.
