Truk Lagoon a Wreck and Reef Dive Mecca

Chuuk Atoll, (also Known as Truk) in the Caroline Islands is infamous for its giant lagoon. The lagoon is the final resting place for more than 100 ships, planes and submarines - the legacy of a fierce World War II battle between the Imperial Japanese Fleet and Allied carrier planes. Nowhere else in the world are there so many wrecks in close proximity, situated in shallow clear water along with a huge amount of marine and coral life. Many of the wrecks are visible while snorkelling. Truk is indisputably a Diver's Mecca, suitable for both novice and experienced divers. The calm, clear, sheltered lagoon is one of the largest in the world and being free of currents, providing safe, easy diving conditions.

Tonga dive with Humpback whales

Tonga is one of the only places on Earth where divers and snorkelers’ can get up close to humpback whales. Humpback whales migrate from their feeding grounds in Antarctica, along the New Zealand coast, to the Kingdom of Tonga where they stay from July through September to court, mate and calve. This represents an incredible and unique opportunity to witness these enormous and majestic creatures in their natural environment.

Vava'u has many interesting and unique cavern dives with spectacular underwater archways, tunnels, large black coral trees and wall dives that vanish into the inky darkness. There is little in the way of currents and most dives are leisurely swim throughs. For wreck dive enthusiasts the 122 metre wreck of the Clan McWilliam that sank over 50 years ago, sits upright and is still intact.
