PADI Divemaster


The PADI Divemaster rating is the highest PADI leadership level certification with the exception of Instructor. The PADI Divemaster training program is designed to train experienced and knowledgeable divers to organise and conduct enjoyable and safe open water dives for certified divers.
The PADI Divemaster Course contains:
- Academic Training:
- Dive Planning
- Dive Management and Control
- Supervising students in training
- Physics
- Physiology
- Equipment
- Skills and Environment
- The Recreational Dive Planner
PADI Divemaster Practical Training:
- Underwater Mapping
- Pool Skills and Watermanship Test
- Role of Divemaster in Confined water
- Role of Divemaster in Open water
- Role of Divemaster in Non-Training situation
Watermanship and Skills Assessment:
- Swimming, snorkelling and scuba skills are assessed in this session.
PADI Reference Materials
Divemaster candidates are put through an Internship where they are required to assist with pool sessions, open water sessions, in the shop and with the filling of tanks and the use of the compressor. All aspects of the Internship are conducted under the guidance and control of the Dive Instructor.
