Sunreef Hire Terms and Conditions

Terms & Conditions of Booking and Participation to all Activities
  • It is an express condition that all persons willing to participate in any activity agrees to all the rules and regulations set out in their entirety without any exception.
  • All special offers must be pre-booked and are only valid during the period specified and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
  • All coupons, special passes and gift vouchers have to be stipulated at the time of booking; all documentation have to be presented before departure.
  • Coupons, gift vouchers, special offers or passes, cannot be refunded, and cannot be exchanged for another activity nor have any monetary value. Unless the voucher is clearly specified as an open ticket.
  • Monetary value open vouchers can be redeemed for any activity of the same price value, the coupon can also be used for part payment for activities of a higher value than the coupon, the coupon can only be used for one transaction and all remaining unused credit will be forfeited.
  • Coupons, gift vouchers, special offers or passes, must be in date at the time of participation in the activity.
  • Full terms and conditions apply to all voucher holders and failing or being unable to comply with any of the rules will not qualify for a refund or transfer to a different activity.
  • All bookings are firm, and payment is due on booking.
  • A cancellation notification for activities at list price applies: 24 hours for individual booking, 7 days for group bookings.
  • Special offers have a no cancellation options
  • Some activities can only be paid by EFTPOS.
  • Some activities may require some participants to pay a bond for good participation behaviour.
  • All participants must be present no later than 30 minutes before scheduled departure.
  • Any participant failing to be present on pre-departure briefing will not be allowed to participate and will not qualify for a refund or transfer.
  • Any participant failing to be present on departure will not qualify for a refund or transfer.
  • Any participant failing to meet all the criteria for the activity will not be allowed to participate and will not qualify for a refund or transfer.
  • All participants must be alcohol and drug free an absolute 0 blood alcohol level is required; random breathalysing is practice failure to comply with breathalysing or in the event any trace of alcohol is found present on any participant rider or passengers will result in full cancellation of activity without refund and in addition a charge for the breathalysing equipment used will be charged.
  • “Sunreef Hire” reserves the right to refuse the access to any activity to any participant if they are not deemed competent or responsible or are a danger to themselves or to others.
  • “Sunreef Hire” reserves the right to cancel and remove a participant from any activity without refund or compensation for breach of any rules without warning.
  • “Sunreef Hire” reserves the right to refuse indefinitely further access to any participant in breach of any rules.
  • All participants of age must read, understand, and sign a waiver of liability and agree to pay any fines the service provider will penalise them for breach of the rules and compensate in full any fine the service provider has occurred due to the participant’s action being accidental or voluntary.
  • All persons responsible for underage participants agrees to be responsible for all actions and compensate in full for any actions.
  • “Sunreef Hire” reserves the right to change the rules and regulations at any time without any notice.
  • Due to the nature of some activities some additional rules and criteria may apply according to weather, sea or any other conditions affecting the activity on the day.
  • All participants must accept and understand that all decisions made by the qualified instructors or tour guides are final.
  • All participants are responsible for all damages to any equipment for misuse or negligence of the equipment.
Release and Indemnity to the service provider

IN CONSIDERATION of the acceptance of me participating, except to the extent it is precluded by statutory law I AGREE TO RELEASE AND INDEMNIFY the Service Provider as follows:

I release, indemnify, and hold harmless the Service Provider, its servants, and agents, from and against all and any actions or claims which may be made by me or on my behalf or by other parties for or in respect of or arising out of any injury, loss, damage, or death caused to me or my property whether by negligence, breach of contract or in any way whatsoever.

 Absolute 0.00 (zero) B.A.C. is required of all participants Drivers and Pillion passengers

  • You may be required to provide a breath sample before participating.
  • Any person refusing or failing to provide a sample will not be allowed to participate.
  • Any person registering a B.A.C. above 0.00 will forfeit their ride and NO refund, transfers, or transfers of participant driver or pillion passengers will be allowed.
  • If you are uncertain about your B.A.C. you can opt to be tested prior to signing and if found above 0.00 you can then give your ride to another person, this option is only and strictly available before you sign your boarding pass and attracts a surcharge of $10

Booking & Cancellation Policy

It is an express condition
  • That all persons willing to participate in any activity provided by “Sunreef Hire” to agree and
    adhere to all the rules and regulations set out in their entirety, without any exception.
  • You must accept all terms & conditions before making a booking, failure will not consist of a valid request for a refund.
  • You will be required to sign a waiver of liability refusing to sign your waiver of liability after you made a booking will not consist of a valid request for refund.
Booking & Cancellation Policy

“Sunreef Hire” reserves the right to reschedule bookings due to unsuitable weather conditions or
any other unforeseen situation that may arise. Bookings can only be made upon full payment.

  • Cancellation notification 24 hours (7 days for groups) prior to departure – full refund.
  • Cancellation notification less than 24 hours (7 days for groups) – no refund.
  • Special offers have no cancellation option.
  • Times are not transferable within the 24 hour (7 days for groups) prior departure.
  • Your safety is paramount to us, so in the event of “Sunreef Hire” cancelling your activity due
    to unfavourable weather conditions or any reason whatsoever – A full refund is given.

Failure to turn up for your dive at the time stipulated by Sunreef Employees incurs a 100% cancellation fee. NO REFUNDS.

Gift Vouchers 

Sunreef gift vouchers may also be called gift cards or gift certificates. All Sunreef gift vouchers are non-refundable. Sunreef gift vouchers do not expire. Gift vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash. All vouchers are kept under the customers name so if the gift card/voucher is lost it is still available. The voucher can be transferred to another person or used for any goods and/or services at Sunreef.

All charter and course cancellation policies apply as usual. Although they may say are for a specific item or service provided by Sunreef, all Sunreef gift vouchers are just worth that dollar value and can be used for any other goods/service provided by Sunreef. As such, if a product price has changed and if the owner wants to use it for the assigned product, they will have to pay the difference.


The Wharf complex has 4 hour parking available, however you will need to find suitable parking for the tour you are on. There are some unlimited parking spaces available outside of The Wharf Mooloolaba / SEA Life car park, however please keep in mind especially if you are on an 11:30 am or later booking that parking can get very busy. Please give yourself at least 15-20 minutes for parking. You can find a parking map of The Wharf Mooloolaba here.

Physical goods may be delivered by Australia Post and/or other reputable courier companies. Deliveries are processed promptly upon receipt of full payment. Delivery may take between 2 and 14 days, depending on the delivery option.
